The Sojourner's Guide to Bonzarel
I remember the day when I fell in love with creating my own mythology. I had just been let go from a director position and found myself in a tight non compete contract for a year. So, I stayed home with my kids and homeschooled them. During that time, I picked up a tabletop role playing game and started a community game in my neighborhood.
Once a week, our neighbors (7 of them) walked over to the house and played dice and imagination games with us. We cooked a little meal. One of our players even had her baby during that time.
After a game, I went to bed thinking about what would have happened if the players had made different decisions. What if they explored that old well? My dreams churned all night and I woke up extra early to write out my thoughts.
