Journaling
Keep going - even if you run out of a pages in a journal, grab sheets of paper, envelopes for old bills, post it notes, index cards, anything to keep writing and clearing out your mind.
Speaking of, I need a new journal. Having a journal is like having a really nice pair of running shorts to encourage me to get going in the morning. Having a coffee pot ready to go in the morning along with blank pages and a really nice pen all helps me journal daily.
Never stop writing, even if only for yourself, because this process helps clear away psychic clutter. And an uncluttered spirit is a thriving healthy spirit so that you can do spirited things in the world.
Run a business with your family
Talk with your loved one about changes in your life
Cut hair and provide therapy for your clients
Preach a killer sermon at church
Run a half-marathon
Play a great game of D&D
Cook a delicious and nourishing meal for a new mama and her family
Go on an adventure across country with $10,000 you saved last year
We don’t get these things done because our minds are stopped up with unprocessed thoughts, because our souls are stuck with heavy feelings and our imaginations are restless. Journaling helps with all these and more.
We process inside so we can live outside.
