Say Yes to Adventure
Every adventure begins with an invitation. Sometimes that invite disguises as a crash landing interruption that seemingly wrecks all of your plans.
Too bad your plans were to live a boring life. I suppose God wants more entertainment in sending you a crisis to jumpstart your life.
Every new quest begins with a question - will you say yes?
This summer I said YES and am moving across the country to the Gemstone state. It’s an adventure, scary, nerve wracking and a little grieving.
Joesph Campbell framed out the hero’s journey in every myth, movie and book worth reading. It’s a 17 step process that takes the hero from ordinary to individuated. It’s life purpose stored in story form and we can use it therapeutically our own lives
But by saying yes, I am subscribing to a calling to process my fears flaws and foibles into something more heroic.
